ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. (AP) — Ludvig Aberg had a pair of two-putt birdies, one of them on a par 4, and kept bogeys off his card for the second straight day for a 6-under 64 on Friday to take a one-shot lead into the weekend at the RSM Classic. In the final tournament of the longest PGA Tour season, Aberg will try to end his short year with victories on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. He already won the European Masters in Switzerland, a performance that secured his spot on Europe’s winning Ryder Cup team. Not bad for a 24-year-old Swede who only turned pro in June. Not surprising, either.“I know my capabilities and I know my strengths,” said Aberg, who finished at Texas Tech this spring and earned a PGA Tour card as the No. 1 player in the PGA Tour University ranking. “But also, to be able to do it this quickly, probably not. It’s been so much fun.“I still pinch myself in the morning whenever I wake up that I actually get to do this for a living, but it’s really cool and...Judge orders Las Vegas high schoolers held on no bail in classmate’s deadly beating

Some pieces came through the roof of Nicole Ojeda’s family home.“Yeah, I was sleeping, and then a loud noise, and when we go open the backroom, one of the bedrooms, the ceiling was caved in, and my younger brother was in there,” she said. Her brother was OK, but their home now has a huge hole in the roof. A victim and a suspect are dead after a shooting at a psychiatric hospital in Concord, New Hampshire Friday, officials said. The shooting happened at New Hampshire Hospital and drew a massive emergency response that continued into the night. In an update near 6:30 p.m., New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark Hall said the suspect entered the hospital around 3:38 p.m. and shot one person in a lobby area. A powerful pro-Israel lobbying group is reportedly spending $100 million to remove the “Squad,” the super liberal cohort that includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusetts’ Ayanna Pressley, from Congress next year. The bid by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), reported first by Slate, is the most audacious move yet to target elected officials who strongly oppose Israel’s war against Hamas in response to the terror group’s surprise attack on the country last month.Pressley and the seven-member Squad are firmly ensconced in liberal Democratic territory and getting them knocked out won’t be easy.Several members of the Squad, including Reps. Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Summer Lee and Ilhan Omar, already face Democratic opposition in next fall’s primary. But there has been no reported interest in another Democrat challenging Pressley, the Boston congresswoman who herself ousted longtime Democratic incumbent Michael Capuano to win her seat.Pressley’s 7th District incl...Latest news
