LCSO: Deputy shoots, kills meat cleaver-wielding man in Round Lake ROUND LAKE, Ill. — A man is dead after being shot while charging at a sheriff's deputy with a meat cleaver in Round Lake Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).LCSO officials said deputies were called to a residence in the 34200 block of Barberry Court around 4:05 p.m. in unincorporated Round Lake on a report of a man bleeding and in need of help.When deputies arrived at the residence, they found a man unconscious and unresponsive on a blood-stained mattress in the living room of the home. Mark Finses and Trooper Kyle Feuge were returning from a patrol in nearby Ernest Sound to Ketchikan on Oct. 10 when they spotted the deer, agency spokesperson Justin Freeman said in an email to The Associated Press. Amazon expands drone delivery service in College Station, reveals new plans COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KXAN) – Amazon announced Wednesday it would expand its drone program – called Prime Air – to start delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in College Station by drone. Customers in College Station can now choose more than 500 prescription medications to be delivered by drone in less than an hour, according to Amazon. Amazon so far has piloted Prime Air in College Station and Lockeford, California. Farmington teen killed in motorcycle collision in southern Minnesota EAGLE LAKE, Minn. — An 18-year-old motorcyclist from Farmington was killed in a crash on U.S. 14 east of Eagle Lake late Tuesday afternoon.Tyler James Schmitz, 18, died in the 5:37 p.m. crash at the intersection of eastbound Highway 14 and 610th Avenue, about two miles east of Eagle Lake in southern Minnesota, according to the State Patrol.Schmitz was heading east on Highway 14 on a 1999 Honda CBR 600 when the motorcycle and a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu collided.The Malibu — driven by Collin Troy O’Brien, 27, of Elysian — had been westbound on Highway 14 and was heading south on 610th Avenue at the time of the crash, the State Patrol report stated.O’Brien was transported to the Mankato hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Schmitz was wearing a helmet but suffered fatal injuries.
